2.Amenities

Elbay Developments will sit on 10-acres of land on the north side of Elgin Mills. The development will sit on either side of the charming Rough River, which runs right through the development. Townhomes in this development will range in size from 800 to 1400 square feet. The 230 stacked homes will have configurations and room counts ranging from 1 Bedroom units to 3 Bedroom units.

The architecture of the project will feature two-toned brick exteriors, with a light grey colour on the first two floors, with a darker grey brick on the top floors and outer corners of the buildings. It’s expected that homes will have large windows with lots of natural light, and the development will look to incorporate greenery and open spaces as much as possible throughout the complex. And residents will be able to enjoy great views of the neighbourhood and this greenery, from balconies in each home. 

Based on previous Armour Heights Developments projects, we can also expect finishes and furnishings in homes to be modern, and cutting edge from both a design, and functional standpoint. 

3.Transit Options

Richmond Hill is in many ways a crossroads for the GTA. To it’s east, the Highway 404, leads directly into the core of Toronto via the Don Valley Parkway, and makes commutes simple. Travelling throughout the boroughs and neighbourhoods of the city is easy too – Highway 401, one of the busiest highways in North America, travels east-west and just south of Richmond Hill, connecting the York Region to Scarborough, Etobicoke, Mississauga, and the rest of Southern Ontario.

As Richmond Hill grows, and traffic becomes more dense, residents of Richmond Hill have many other options for their commutes. York Region Transit (YRT) runs an unparalleled bus service throughout the entire northern region of the GTA, providing simple connections to Vaughan, Aurora, Markham, Newmarket, and Whitchurch-Stouffville, with simple connections to the TTC line. Though the TTC itself does not operate within Richmond Hill, plans are being prepared to extend the primary subway lines to the intersection of Yonge and Highway 7, at the area’s southern border.

Commuters can also rely on GO Transit. The primary commuter rail has two stations within the city – Richmond Hill Station and Langstaff Station, both providing regular trains in and out of the city.
