Top 5 Reasons to Invest in Harbour Place Townhomes

Oakville is a suburban town in the south-west corner of the GTA, and a prominent, highly populated division of the Halton Region. Only a short drive from downtown Toronto, Oakville is an attractive home base for commuters. With Mississauga and Milton to the North, and Burlington to the South-West, Oakville is centrally located along the QEW, a transportation corridor which opens up to the entirety of Southern Ontario.

Oakville is an ideal place to raise a family, with countless family and child-focused community actives throughout the year in their many parks and recreation spaces. Children’s Festivals, Camps, and Special events run year, focusing on diversity, inclusion, accessibility and support.

Oakville is also known for it’s many parks and conservation areas. Lion’s Valley Park in particular, has become a destination in itself for it’s lovely greenery, hiking rails, rolling hills and creekside nature.

Harbour Place in particular is located in Kerr Village, a shoreline neighbourhood of Oakville. Within just a few minutes walk, residents will be able to enjoy the lake at either Tannery Park, or Lakeside Park. In addition to this, a number of Oakville’s most visited attractions are very close by, from the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts, to the Oakville Museum, Oakville Lighthouse, and even Sheridan College.

All along Lakeshore Road, residents will delight in the various neighbourhood amenities, from Trafalgard Park Community Centre, to the Fortinos Grocery Store across the street, and many other comforts, restaurants and services.

Harbour Place Townhomes are the perfect place for families as well, with a number of elementary and secondary schools nearby, like St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary just minutes down the street, and the Central Branch of Oakville Public Library just down the street as well.

The 22 luxury townhomes in this project will come in three different models to fit buyers needs and family sizes. Eighteen models will be 2,316 square feet, two models will be 1,901 square feet, and two models will be 2,786 square feet.

These homes will feature a master bedroom, two additional bedrooms, with large main floors to be used as living spaces, and underneath, access to the parking garage underground. This underground garage will feature a total of 48 vehicle parking spots, 44 of which will be for residents, and another 4 for visitors.

On the top of each home will be an expansive rooftop patio. Renders depict beautiful views of the lake, allowing residents a great deal of space to relax, unwind, and host guests in a wise use of rooftop space that suggests a maximization of space for the buyer.

3.Transit Options

Oakville is an early stop on the many south-bound routes coming from Downtown Toronto. The Queen Elizabeth Way runs directly through Oakville on it’s way to Hamilton and the rest of the Niagara Region. Go Transit commuter rails and bus services operate within the city, providing a robust framework for commuters to get into the city, or to any one of the many other communities within the GTA. Two major stations, Bronte and Oakville are hubs for the city, and also connect residents to a local bus service – Oakville Transit, which runs over 20 different routes all year round.

Oakville’s closest neighbour, Mississauga is the home of Lester B. Pearson International Airport, and VIA rail runs trains through the city on it’s Windsor-Quebec corridor, both opening the city up to the entirety of North America, and the world. You can also use th MiWay transit system within Mississauga as an additional transit option within the metropolitan area of Missississauga, making connections to other transit infrastructure from there.

4.The Developer

Biddington is a family-owned developer that has been active in the GTA since it’s founding in the 1960s. With a long history of single-family home development, as well as condominium projects, and some industrial projects, Biddington has over 500 homes and two-million square feet of commercial space in their portfolio.

Known for precision, Biddington has a strong reputation for establishing a clear vision, and working tirelessly to execute that vision. This requires hiring and working with the best people for the job, and only using the very best materials in the process.

The firm has a presence all over the GTA, from developments in the East of Toronto, Davisville, and all the way to Oakville and beyond. And as a result, Biddington has had the pleasure of working with some of the GTA’s best – from Monarch Corporation, to Wayne Cassidy and Company, Uno Prii, Eb Zeidler, CGL Architects, and many more. With so many fantastic projects behind them, it’s easy to see why Biddington is such a staple among the real estate community in the GTA.

5.Investment Opportunities

Now is the perfect time to start looking at homes in Oakville. More and more people are flocking to the region as Toronto continues to expand. People are looking for an easily-accessible place to live that’s just outside of the downtown core, yet still a destination unto itself.

In 2016, the census found that Oakville’s population was 193,832 residents, and expected that the community would increase in size, likely to about 250K by 2031. This kind of growth actually surpasses Toronto with over a 6% increase. This means more and more development is inbound for the charming city, from condos, to master-planned communities and it means return on investment opportunity is huge.

The focus will continue to be on improving sustainability, and increasing density, meaning that projects will be built to last, and will therefore increase property values more quickly and efficiently than some other projects. The current price of pre-construction condos sits within the $400K range, which is relatively affordable, but also is expected to rise as Oakville continues to density.

With so many reasons to live in oakville, it’s easy to see why the town is in such high demand, and as this population influx continues to play out, investors would be wise to get in on the action before it’s too late!
